MINDTECH-RG emerged as an initiative that aims to contribute to the strengthening of national research, addressing the construction of a set of tools that in many areas of science and engineering are subject to non-national products and technology. Thus, Mindtech-RG aims to combine software engineering, systems and advanced computing with basic scientific and technological knowledge, as well as engineering tools, for problem solving.

Mindtech-RG was created at the end of the year 2015 by conducting a research based on the digital analysis of images for analytical applications, being formalized as a research group in 2016. Its main objective is to develop science-based technology through the creation of new knowledge and the novel application of existing knowledge.

Challenges: - To consolidate itself as a group of applied research at national level, of private origin, and with impact at technological level. - To be recognized as a point of departure to address specific problems of industry, society and science. - Develop national technology with international impact.
